The use of Tadalafil (Cialis®) in the treatment of erectile dysfunction is a matter of debate.
The use of Tadalafil (Cialis®) in the treatment of erectile dysfunction is a matter of debate, and while it is generally accepted that tadalafil may be more effective for some men, it may not be the best choice for all men.
While Tadalafil (Cialis®) is a more effective treatment for erectile dysfunction than any other drug, it has also been shown to have a lower incidence of cardiovascular events than other drugs. The results of clinical trials have shown that men treated with Tadalafil (Cialis®) in combination with other erectile dysfunction treatments had a reduced risk of heart attack, stroke and cardiovascular events compared to men not taking a similar drug.
A clinical study in which men with ED were randomly assigned to take tadalafil (Cialis®) plus sildenafil (Viagra®) was published in the March 2017 issue of theBritish Journal of Pharmacology.
Sildenafil is the active ingredient of both tadalafil and sildenafil. It works by relaxing the smooth muscles in the penis, thereby increasing blood flow. Sildenafil does not have the same cardiovascular side effects as tadalafil. The only side effect that is typically seen with sildenafil is a decrease in the ability to achieve and maintain an erection.
The results of clinical trials have shown that men treated with tadalafil (Cialis®) and sildenafil (Viagra®) have an increased incidence of cardiovascular events in patients with ED compared to those not taking the drugs. The increased incidence of cardiovascular events in men with ED treated with tadalafil (Cialis®) has been attributed to the enhanced blood circulation in the penis.
While tadalafil (Cialis®) is a more effective treatment for erectile dysfunction than any other drug, it has also been shown to have a lower incidence of cardiovascular events than other drugs.
Cialis has been shown to cause some mild side effects. Talk to your health care provider if these do not go away within a few days. If you begin to experience more serious reactions, seek medical attention immediately.
Common side effects reported from Cialis use include:
More severe side effects include:
If you experience any of these side effects, seek medical attention immediately. These are symptoms of a severe adverse reaction to this medication that require immediate treatment.
As with all prescription medications, inform your doctor of any medical conditions you currently manage. Tell them about any and all medications, prescription drugs, and supplements you are taking before starting treatment with Cialis. Cialis can interact with bodily substances, causing potentially serious adverse reactions.
Specifically, you should inform your health care provider of any alpha-blocker, antifungal, HIV protease inhibitor, or high blood pressure medication you are taking. Remember to mention any herbal products you use, especially St. John’s wort.
In addition, let your doctor know if you have recently had heart surgery or experience chest pain during sex. If you experience any changes in your heartbeat or chest pain during sex, contact your health care provider immediately.
Read more about Cialis. As with any medication, Cialis should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. Cialis can affect the way another medication is taken, causing potentially serious adverse reactions.
PlaytexigginsedAs with all medications, mention the medications you are taking. Cialis can affect the way other medications are taken, causing potentially serious adverse reactions.
In addition, let your doctor know if you are taking any nitrates or are taking other medications for hypertension. Cialis can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. As with all medications, mention anyabetes-related nitrates or use any recreational drugs during treatment with Cialis.
In addition, let your doctor know if you are currently pregnant or plan to become pregnant. Cialis can alter the way other medications are taken, causing potentially serious adverse reactions.
In addition, let your doctor know if you are and how you are responded to treatment with Cialis.
In the US, Cialis can cause a mild direct and indirect effect on the penis, such as an erection that lasts more than 4 hours, or a sudden decrease or loss of vision because of the factors mentioned above.
As with all prescription medications, mention the medications you are taking.
1.Nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate): Cialis and nitrates both lower blood pressure. Taking them together can cause a significant and potentially life-threatening drop in blood pressure (hypotension), leading to dizziness, fainting, or even heart attack or stroke. It is contraindicated to use Cialis with nitrates or recreational "poppers" (amyl nitrites).
2.Alpha-blockers (e.g., prazosin, terazosin, tamsulosin): Both Cialis and alpha-blockers relax blood vessels, which can lead to excessive blood pressure reduction when used together. This may result in dizziness, fainting, or orthostatic hypotension (a sudden drop in blood pressure when standing). If needed, your doctor may adjust the dosage or recommend spacing the medications.
3.Other antihypertensive drugs (e.g., atenolol, propranolol, enalapril, lisinopril): Cialis can enhance the blood-pressure-lowering effects of these medications. While this interaction is usually less severe than with nitrates or alpha-blockers, it can still cause dizziness or fainting in sensitive individuals. Close monitoring of blood pressure is recommended.
Cialis (tadalafil) can interact with certain foods and beverages, potentially altering its effectiveness or increasing the risk of side effects. Here are the key drug-food interactions to be aware of:
Pregnancy and breastfeeding are major pregnancy considerations. Cialis should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

LAKELAND, SC--(Aoscope Staff)
We are having our first conversation with the President's office this morning regarding the U. S. State of Alaska's (SAS) response to its request for an additional 30 percent fee for the sale of drugs through a national pharmacy.
The Food and Drug Administration has asked the state of Alaska to help address the cost of the medications and other prescription drug benefits.
SAS will pay for all prescription drugs, and will provide the remainder of the medication for the state to provide to the state's Medicaid program, which provides free to individuals with incomes below $30,000 per month.
SAS has also asked the FDA to require the sale of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra, and Cialis Soft and Cialis Extra, among others.
We are also asking for the Secretary of the FDA to issue a warning letter to AS if there is an increased risk of serious adverse events, such as stroke, heart attack and cancer, and if the benefits of the drugs are not covered under the Medicare Part D plan, such as the "Medicare Advantage" program, or if any of the drugs in this drug plan are not covered under the Part D plan.
We are also asking the FDA to require that the prescription drug benefits paid by the state for prescription drugs, like Viagra, Cialis and Levitra be paid in full to help pay for the costs of the state's health-care system.
